The Global Alliance of Sickle Cell Disease Organizations (GASCDO) is excited to launch a groundbreaking 10-Week hybrid capacity building program this December, aimed at empowering Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) advocates, Warriors, and stakeholders worldwide. This program is designed to develop critical skills in Sickle Cell care and advocacy, supporting the ongoing fight for better patient outcomes and global education.

The program will conclude with an in-person session in 2025, where participants will receive certificates of completion.

Participants will gain valuable expertise in key areas, including:

  1. Patient Engagement Research and Clinical Trials: Best practices for involving patients in research and trials.
  2. Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns: Strategies to design and implement impactful campaigns.
  3. Fundraising: Tools and techniques for securing essential funding.
  4. Project Management: Effective planning, execution, and evaluation of advocacy projects.
  5. Political Advocacy: engaging policymakers to remove systemic barriers and prevent early death

This program offers a unique opportunity to network with fellow SCD advocates globally, share insights, and collectively advance Sickle Cell advocacy to new heights.
